Job description

General Information:

Job title: Hospital Registration

Schedule: Part-time 1, 48 hours per pay period; scheduled between 6:00am and 11:00pm

Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend required - shift scheduled between 7:00am to 6:30pm

Holiday rotation: Rotation required.

Position Summary:

The Hospital Registration position greets patients, obtains, and verifies patient demographics and insurance information.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Register and collect copays for patients and register patients for labs and x-ray.
  • Check patients in/out for appointments: verify patients' name, DOB, address, phone number, insurance, and emergency contacts.
  • Check patients out after their appointment and schedule new appointments, if needed.
  • Answer phones to schedule appointments and send back messages for the PCS staff and providers.
  • Fax paperwork and fax for immediate records needed.
  • Print immunization records for next-day patients.
  • Handles paperwork such as forms and faxes.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year or less of related work experience required.
  • CPR certification required, or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Experience working in the medical industry preferred.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
