Epic Prelude Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Epic Prelude Analyst with deep, recent hands-on experience supporting Epic Prelude in a complex healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of patient registration workflows and Prelude configuration, with specific experience supporting Estimates, E-Signature, and Letter Templates.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide functional and application design, build and support for Epic Prelude, including registration, patient access, and related workflows.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex Prelude issues and configuration challenges.
• Support and optimize Patient Estimates functionality, including configuration, workflows, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Have hands-on experience with E-Signature functionality within Epic and understand how electronic signatures are incorporated into registration and patient-facing workflows.
• Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and support Epic Letter Templates and related correspondence.
• Evaluate existing Prelude workflows and recommend opportunities for optimization, standardization, and improved user experience.
• Work with Patient Access, Registration, Revenue Cycle, HIM, and other operational stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into Epic solutions.
• Participate in requirements gathering, workflow analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
• Develop and execute test scripts and participate in integrated, regression, and end-user testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution or escalation when appropriate.
• Support system upgrades, enhancements, patches, and new functionality.
• Create and maintain application documentation, workflows, configuration documentation, and training materials as needed.
• Collaborate with other Epic application teams when Prelude functionality intersects with downstream applications and workflows.
• Participate in meetings with business and technical stakeholders and effectively communicate application impacts, recommendations, and status.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on Epic Prelude experience in a healthcare environment.
• Recent, current, and demonstrable Epic Prelude experience; candidates whose Prelude experience is primarily historical will not be considered.
• Current active Epic Prelude certification required
• Strong understanding of Epic Patient Access/Registration workflows and Prelude functionality.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Patient Estimates.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Epic E-Signature functionality.
• Demonstrated experience working with Epic Letter Templates.
• Strong understanding of how Prelude integrates with other Epic applications and Revenue Cycle workflows.
• Experience with requirements gathering, workflow analysis, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with application, technical, and operational teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting large or complex health systems.
• Experience with Patient Access and Revenue Cycle transformation or optimization initiatives.
• Experience participating in Epic implementations, upgrades, optimization projects, or major enhancements.
Certification Requirement
Epic Prelude certification must be currently active and verifiable.
Candidates should provide their current Epic certification information as part of the recruiting/submittal process.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sitting, talking, hearing and near vision are required over 90% of the time. Feeling is required over 90% of the time and reaching is required about 50% of the time. The ability to travel to field sites may be required up to 15% of the time.
WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Over 90% of the time is spent indoors, with protection from weather conditions. Exposure to noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable is present in only unusual situations.
PAY RANGE
Pay range for this position is $85-90/hr.
