Job Description
The Epic Cadence and Prelude Analyst III is a senior subject matter expert in the design, configuration, testing and implementation of complex, cross-functional projects spanning the entire patient access experience. This role defines configuration standards, validation strategies, and integration frameworks that align patient access, operational, and financial workflows into a unified, high-performing platform. The Analyst III collaborates with enterprise architecture, clinical operations, and revenue management teams to optimize the front-end revenue cycle, ensuring solutions deliver registration accuracy, compliant billing, and seamless data exchange. This position provides input on technical and governance, change management, and innovation in patient access workflows.
Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional projects involving both Prelude and Cadence to design and implement seamless, end-to-end patient access workflows.
  • Execute comprehensive testing plans in collaboration with the team and key stakeholders
  • Oversee validation strategy, regression testing frameworks, and release planning for all Prelude and Cadence initiatives
  • Strong proficiency in Cadence and Prelude applications functionality and lead process improvement efforts
  • Mentor and provide guidance to analysts, fostering their growth in both Prelude and Cadence
  • Act as the primary technical liaison to operational workgroups for scheduling and registration, translating strategic goals into a unified system roadmap
  • Champion best practices for system build and workflow design across the entire patient access landscape
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive, integrated testing strategies for major enhancements

Qualifications
Required:
  • 7+ years of experience in Epic Prelude and Cadence application including one full implementation
  • Proven expertise in the integration and data flow between Prelude, Cadence, and other patient access applications e.g. MyChart
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale projects impacting patient access
  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate design sessions with operational leaders

Preferred:
  • Proven project management experience in large scale transformations
  • Experience in one Epic Implementation full cycle

Work Environment:
  • Work requires handling light and simple weight material and equipment. Visual activity requires the ability to tolerate prolonged periods of close computer screens. Work requires speed, accuracy and adeptness to operate in system application. Fast-paced work environment. After hours, weekend and holiday work will occasionally be required as determined by the Application Mgr to support software/hardware patches, upgrades, downtimes and potential disasters.

  • College degree in computer science, information science or equivalent work experience (Required)
  • Certification in Epic Prelude and Cadence (Required)
  • Multiple Epic Certifications (Preferred)
