Job description

Christie Clinic's department of Health Informatics is seeking a full-time Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst-Cadence at the State Street House in Champaign from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This position may require the ability to work outside of normal business hours and travel to satellite locations to support the department. 

Under the supervision of the Health Informatics Manager, the Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst – Cadence position implements, modifies, tests, and administers modules and systems related to revenue cycle system applications.  Serves as a liaison between I.T. personnel, other application analysts, management, and end users to resolve system-related questions associated with system functionality and design.  Performs analytical tasks as assigned in program development and secures the documentation, testing, and final analysis to ensure job and system efficiency. 

JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all the duties assigned.)

  • Develop and maintain a thorough, working knowledge of the EMR application system.
  • Work closely with the Community Connect Analyst and/or EMR host to monitor and maintain the application. 
  • Develop, test, and maintain modules and applications related to Revenue Cycle,  other systems, interfaces, and processes related to billing.
  • Identify system requirements in base revenue cycle areas.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge regarding the functionality of all modules in the billing systems.
  • Develop plans for small projects.
  • Research, document, and facilitate resolution to issues reported by end-users.
  • Maintain general knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and HIPAA code sets.
  • Monitor system utilization, anticipate software upgrades and enhancements to obtain maximum operation and performance.
  • Serve as frontline support for operational issues, monitor scheduling performance, and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Work closely with Community Connect Analyst, team members, administrators, clinical departments, providers (when appropriate), and business services to ensure systems are designed for maximum efficiency. 
  • Provide application support to end users via phone, email, and on-site.
  • Build, design, validate, and implement new versions of the application.
  • Manage assigned projects to ensure adherence to the schedule and scope of the project.
  • Set and track project milestones, managing unforeseen delays and realigning schedules and expectations as needed. 
  • Establish project communication plans, including project status updates to affected teams and stakeholders.
  • Analyze risk and provide regular communication to department team leaders and managers.  Initiate proactive steps to minimize delivery delays.
  • Work with the Community Connect Analyst and/or host organization to establish and maintain standard work.
  • Assist Health Informatics staff with additional projects as required.
  • Perform related work as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree in an applicable field required. 
  • Project Management experience.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous work experience requires verifying attendance, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills. 
  • Previous experience on E.M.R. implementation team.
  • Epic Cadence, Prelude, and/or MyChart Certification.
  • Strong background in Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Visio).

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: 

  • Current driver’s license with appropriate insurance coverage.
  • EPIC Certification (Cadence) required within 6 months of employment.
  • EPIC Certification (Prelude) required within 9 months of employment.
  • EPIC Certification (MyChart) required within 9 months of employment.
  • Maintain EPIC certifications as applicable.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20, and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment are required.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a normal office setting and may require working irregular hours. Requirements include frequent contact with a variety of individuals.

The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.
