As a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Safe Horizon, you will work remotely, allowing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while maintaining a structured approach to client care. The outpatient office environment encourages collaboration among team members through regular virtual meetings and case reviews, ensuring a cohesive therapeutic approach. While the role is primarily remote, you will engage with clients via secure telehealth platforms, providing an accessible avenue for therapy.

• Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on therapeutic techniques that foster recovery and resilience.
• Complete initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to inform treatment progress and adapt strategies to meet the evolving needs of clients.
• Develop and implement individualized follow-up treatment plans that align with clients' goals and encourage continued personal development.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to create a comprehensive treatment approach tailored to each client's circumstances.
• Document all client interactions meticulously, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards while maintaining confidentiality.
• Participate in regular training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your therapeutic skills and stay updated on best practices in mental health care.

You will work primarily with clients facing substance abuse challenges, including those with co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and trauma-related conditions. This role requires a deep understanding of the psychological and emotional complexities that affect recovery, allowing you to tailor your therapeutic approach to the unique needs of each individual and their families.

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active, valid license in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly in substance abuse or dual diagnosis.

• Experience using evidence-based treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital documentation systems to manage client records effectively.
• Previous work in an outpatient setting with a diverse clientele that reflects the community's needs.
