Work Environment

As a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Safe Horizon, you will work remotely, allowing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while maintaining a structured approach to client care. Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with clients facing substance abuse challenges, including those with co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and trauma-related conditions. This role requires a deep understanding of the psychological and emotional complexities that affect recovery, allowing you to tailor your therapeutic approach to the unique needs of each individual and their families.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Active, valid license in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly in substance abuse or dual diagnosis.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience using evidence-based treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
