Full Time Behavioral Health Compliance Jobs (NOW HIRING)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Compliance Specialist is part of the behavioral health and compliance team that assists and is responsible for activities that improve compliance of health care/ behavioral health services provided to customers, reducing risk, and promoting more effective and efficient utilization of facilities and services. The BH Compliance Specialist assists in the development, planning, and evaluation of compliance, and risk mitigation processes in accordance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. This role will work closely with BH Leadership and VP of Legal, Quality and Regulatory Affairs to ensure all regulatory requirements are being met for the organization.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Coordinates with IT EHR team to improve documentation protocols.
• Assist in auditing/reporting of department and individual compliance with policies or progress toward measures as determined by the VP of Behavioral Health and VP of Legal, Quality &Regulatory Affairs.
• Assist in continually developing employee training in MedTrainer Learning.
• Assist in continually monitoring documents and policies in MedTrainer and updating as needed.
• Assist in coordinating annual specialty peer reviews.
• Assist in medical record audits and reports to ensure compliance for the organization.
• Assist in performance improvement/external accreditation activities of behavioral health staff.
• Assist in policy and procedure revisions as directed by the VP of Behavioral Health.
• Compose, distribute information, have routine correspondence with individuals in the organization for the TOPS report.
• Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, routine correspondence, and reports for BH Leadership.
• Continually monitor The Joint Commission access and communicate with the team regarding organizational changes, including but not limited to, new sites, clinic relocation to new address, hours of operation/extended hours of operation changes, etc.
• Continually monitor,review, and update the online application and provide any necessary updates as needed by the organization.
• Perform miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed, including transcription, research, spreadsheet management, reporting and email writing to ensure compliance operation efficiency.
• Interacts with external organizations as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Master's Degree in the field of behavioral health preferred. Bachelor's Degree in the field of social services will be considered.

Experience: Two years of experience in healthcare/behavioral health and compliance preferred.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel; and customized software

Other Requirements
Ability to relate with consideration and effectiveness to the staff of Arcare, prospective employees, and external agencies and persons with whom this department interacts. Ability to facilitate training in a classroom setting as well as one-on-one training. Willing to attend continuing education related to this position. Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills are required.
