Job description

This is a remote position.

The Epic Behavioral Health Analyst supports the design, build, testing, and implementation of behavioral health workflows. This role works closely with clinical stakeholders, IT teams, and project leadership to ensure behavioral health workflows are effectively configured, tested, and deployed during the Epic implementation lifecycle.


The analyst focuses on modules and tools supporting behavioral health services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting clinical documentation, and improving provider and patient workflows.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & System Build

ยท Lead or support Epic Behavioral Health deployment.

ยท Translate behavioral health clinical workflows into Epic build specifications.

ยท Configure system components such as:

o Behavioral health documentation templates

o Intake and assessment workflows

o Treatment planning

o Safety plans

o Group therapy documentation

o Behavioral health-specific orders and flowsheets

ยท Participate in integrated design sessions and workflow validation.

Stakeholder Collaboration

ยท Partner with:

o Psychiatrists

o Therapists

o Social workers

o Behavioral health nursing

o Compliance and legal teams

ยท Gather and document clinical and operational requirements.

ยท Facilitate workflow design meetings and translate decisions into system build.

Testing & Validation

ยท Develop and execute:

o Unit testing

o Integrated testing

o User acceptance testing (UAT)

ยท Validate workflows such as:

o Behavioral health assessments

o Suicide risk screenings

o Intake documentation

o Care planning

o Medication management

ยท Troubleshoot issues and document defects.

Training & Go-Live Support

ยท Support development of training materials for behavioral health workflows.

ยท Assist with super user training and end-user education.

ยท Provide at-the-elbow support during go-live.

ยท Help monitor adoption and workflow issues post-go-live.

Required Qualifications:

ยท Bachelorโ€™s degree in: Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems or Behavioral Healthโ€“related field 5 plus years of experience supporting an Epic implementation; with a strong focus around Behavioral Health and Ambulatory

ยท Must be Ambulatory Certified

ยท Strong knowledge of behavioral health clinical workflows Experience gathering and translating business requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

ยท Experience supporting: Psychiatry Substance use treatment Outpatient behavioral health Inpatient behavioral health

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required
