Job description

POSITION TITLE: Serviceperson - 3F
COMPANY: Grace Pacific, LLC.
DEPARTMENT: HMA Plants - Oahu
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager, HMA Plants
STATUS: Union - Operating Engineers

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
1. Lubricates bearings, electrical motors, etc. in asphalt plants.
2. Completes daily inspection check list.
3. Assists Asphalt Plant Operator in daily inventory.
4. Substitutes for Asphalt Plant Operator as required.
5. Performs daily and scheduled maintenance of asphalt plants. Performs preventive maintenance and repairs as required.
6. Operates equipment to assist in maintenance and repairs.
7. Follows OSHA, safety and Company regulations and policies.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  2. Minimum 5 years applicable experience/training/combination preferred
  3. MSHA certified or previous miner certification preferred
  4. Knowledge of basic electrical functions, plumbing, welding/ cutting, belts and bearings helpful.
  5. Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract preferred.
  6. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics to practical situations.
  7. Ability to read, analyze and interpret job requirements, technical procedures, government regulations; ability to write reports, present information, communicate with customers and vendors.
  8. Capable of multiple dexterity, climbing, crouching, crawling, lying under equipment and lifting or moving up to 75 pounds.
  9. Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools, welder, torches, forklift and loader, skid steer.
  10. Work Hours: Flexible, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to travel interisland.
