  • Ensure all plant activities comply with company, federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.

  • Coordinate and perform, or oversee, preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment to minimize downtime.

  • Monitor quality control test results and work with QC staff to adjust materials, blends, and plant settings to meet project and DOT specifications.

  • Manage material inventories (liquid asphalt, aggregates, RAP, fuel, and other consumables), forecast needs, and coordinate deliveries to support continuous operations and cost control.

  • Lead plant mobilization and demobilization for new projects, including site setup, utilities coordination, and plant layout with the project team.

  • Maintain accurate records for production, maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by operations or area leadership to support successful project delivery.

ย Qualifications

  • Proven experience running an asphalt plant in support of heavy civil or highway projects; mobile or remote plant experience preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of HMA production, mix designs, plant controls, and DOT/specification requirements.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and develop a plant crew in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of asphalt plant equipment.

  • Basic computer skills, including email and spreadsheets; experience with automated plant control systems is a plus.
