MEDITECH Analyst – Interfaces & Application Support

Classification: Contract

Position Overview

CereCore is seeking to hire an Interfaces & Application Support Analyst. This advanced role will be responsible for leading complex interface initiatives, mentoring team members, and serving as a subject matter expert in MEDITECH Expanse integrations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless exchange of data between MEDITECH Expanse and internal/external systems, supporting both clinical and operational workflows across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in healthcare interoperability, a strong understanding of interface architecture and testing methodologies, and the ability to lead strategic integration efforts from design through implementation and ongoing optimization. In this role, the individual will act as a senior-level resource for complex troubleshooting, workflow standardization, and enterprise-wide initiatives, while partnering closely with leadership, application teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and compliant integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, support, maintenance, and testing of complex interfaces between MEDITECH Expanse and internal/external systems.
  • Oversee and coordinate pre-implementation and post-implementation testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive validation and successful deployments.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in HL7, interface engines, and integration best practices.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts, perform advanced root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
  • Collaborate with leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams on strategic integration initiatives.
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and optimization of interface workflows and testing practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and organizational standards.
  • Lead or support major upgrades, conversions, and enterprise-wide projects.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of healthcare interface experience
  • Experience with any EMR; MEDITECH Expanse preferred
  • Deep expertise in interface engines and HL7 standards
  • Strong experience leading testing efforts (unit, integration, UAT, regression)
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and project coordination skills
  • Experience with APIs, FHIR, and modern interoperability frameworks preferred
