Job description

• Complete ELR onboarding using HL7 2.5.1 standards
  • Provide input on and manage various production monitoring tasks including alerts, dashboard development and maintenance, and issue identification.
  • Complete investigation of ELR processing issues independently and identify proposed solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with Rhapsody developers to enhance existing routes or define new routes for ELR processing.
  • Assist with processing of laboratory data submitted via our alternate file format (i.e., flat file).
  • Coordinate routine and ad hoc management of standard interoperability vocabulary within the disease surveillance system.
  • Act as liaison to downstream users of ELR data within TDH and CEDEP.
  • Support other ELR maintenance tasks (e.g parallel validation, LOINC code assignments, and production errors).

Desired Qualifications:
  • Work experience with ELR onboarding and/or maintenance at a state or local health department, 1-3 years.
  • Work experience with Rhapsody or working to define specifications for Rhapsody developers, 1-3 years.
  • Experience writing statistical and analytical programming code in SAS,SQL, or R.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
