Job description

The Healthcare Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and optimizing interactive Tableau dashboards and related reporting solutions for clients participating in value-based care and risk-based arrangements. This role will work cross-functionally with consulting, finance, analytics, and operational teams to support internal and external reporting needs..
The primary function of this position is hands-on Tableau application development and ownership, including building, configuring, optimizing and maintaining interactive dashboards and their underlying reporting logic. This position is not a general medical-economics or consulting analyst role.

Position Description:

  • Develop and own interactive Tableau dashboards and data visualizations, coordinating tool and dashboard development, generation, maintenance, and enhancement of recurring financial, operational, and medical economics reporting packages.
  • Refresh, modify, validate, and troubleshoot SQL queries, reporting logic, and tableau dashboards for client and internal reporting deliverables.
  • Optimize tool design and user experience to reflect best practice in existing reports and review for potential enhancements and improvements
  • Support quality assurance and validation processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting outputs and analytical deliverables.
  • Identify and communicate data quality issues, reporting risks, logic discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Work closely with members of the Development, Finance, Medical Economics, and Account Management teams to support strategic initiatives and reporting for clients.
  • Utilize AI-enabled technologies to accelerate report development, optimize SQL coding, improve documentation, automate repetitive analytical processes, and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of hands-on Tableau application-development experience, including independently building dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, filters, data-source connections, performance optimization and user-facing visual design.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or financial analytics, or a related field preferred
  • Intermediate SQL querying experience required with a strong understanding of database concepts
  • Candidates must be able to provide work samples or complete a job-related Tableau and SQL skills assessment.
  • Experience with SSIS, ADF, or other preferred ETL tools
  • Familiarity with healthcare claims data, utilization reporting, and value-based care terminology
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on data validation and QA
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
