Office Administrator — Insurance Office

Pay: $23–$25 per hour
Location: North Haven, CT
Job Type: Temporary

Do you enjoy working in a smaller office setting where your organization, professionalism, and customer service skills truly make a difference? We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator to support a busy insurance office in North Haven.

This position starts part-time for the summer and increases to full-time during the busy season.

Schedule:
Beginning in July: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
October through the second week of December: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

In this role, you will help keep the office running smoothly while providing excellent support to clients and the internal team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing daily administrative tasks
  • Responding to client inquiries by phone, email, and in person
  • Updating client records and generating reports
  • Preparing correspondence, forms, faxes, and letters
  • Handling confidential information with care
  • Reconciling monthly commission reports
  • Assisting with supplies, training meetings, and seminar preparation
What we’re looking for:
  • Minimum of 5 years of office administrative assistant experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 proficiency
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organization, accuracy, and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional office environment
  • Previous insurance or Medicare-related experience is helpful

A Connecticut Life and Health Insurance License is a plus. The selected candidate may be supported in obtaining the license after demonstrated success in the role.
