The Health Information Manager (HIM) is responsible for successful maintenance of patient records and organizational and administrative operation of the Health Information Management Department. The HIM manages the responsibility for operation aspects of the department and serves as the resource for the facility regarding medical record content and regulatory requirements. The HIM also assures availability of the medical records at all times, as well as assures duties are done in accordance with facility policies and procedures, JCAHO, federal and state regulations, and QAPI standards.



PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education: Bachelor's degree or experience in healthcare medical records management or other relevant field.

License: None.

Experience: 1-3 years in healthcare medical records
