Job description

A Unique Opportunity:

Sell a California wine label without going through the three-tier system. Turks Head Wines holds the appropriate licensing in Pennsylvania to sell direct. You control your own accounts, your own pricing, and your own success.

About Us:

Turks Head Wines is a fast-growing California wine label co-located in Napa, CA and West Chester, PA. All our wines are sourced, produced and bottled by us in Napa, CA. Beyond our award-winning portfolio (12 SFIWC medals including 3 Double Golds and 2 Golds), we operate a full tasting room and culinary destination in downtown West Chester. We're building our direct sales presence across Pennsylvania from the ground up — and we need a hunter to lead the charge.

The Opportunity:

This is not a maintenance role — it's a build role. Turks Head Wines holds the appropriate licensing in place to sell direct into any business holding a PLCB license to sell wine. You control your own destiny, building a brand without needing to rely on the three-tier system. You'll have full control over your own accounts, pricing, and territory strategy.

Initial focus will be Chester County, Delaware County, Montgomery County, and Philadelphia County, with room to expand as the territory grows.

We're looking for a true hunter: someone who thrives on opening new doors, expanding points of distribution (POD), and rapidly growing our brand using relationships they've already built in this market. As you grow PA direct sales, this role is designed to scale into a leadership position — building, training, and managing a team of sales reps underneath you across the territories you develop. This is the right opportunity for a sales professional who wants to build a brand, not just sell one, and who's energized by the challenge of an aggressive go-to-market strategy in a wide-open market.

This role reports directly to the Founder and President.

Role & Responsibilities:

•  Hunt and acquire new accounts aggressively across Chester County, Delaware County, Montgomery County, and Philadelphia County — restaurants, country clubs, social clubs, hotels, big box retailers, and any business holding a PLCB LID including PA breweries, distilleries and restaurants operating under a satellite license.

•  Drive rapid expansion of points of distribution (POD) as the core measure of success

•  Build and execute an aggressive go-to-market strategy for the initial PA territory, in partnership with the Founder/President

•  Own pricing, terms, and account strategy directly with the President — no distributor layer

•  Perform product demonstrations and tastings to convert and close new accounts

•  Provide detailed and accurate regular sales activity reporting, pipeline visibility, forecasting

•  Execute on marketing campaigns, developing marketing materials, train accounts on how to sell our wines

•  Maintain existing accounts to ensure reorders are placed and stock is maintained, growing turn rates

•  Build in-venue displays and promotional placements

•  Represent Turks Head Wines at trade events, wine dinners, and tastings, including evenings/weekends as needed

•  As the territory scales - recruit, train, and build a team of sales reps to lead and develop sub-territories

Minimum Requirements:

•   3+ years of experience selling wine in the Chester County, Delaware County, Montgomery County, and/or Philadelphia County market, with established relationships ready to activate from day one

•   Proven hunter track record of new account acquisition — someone who can move fast and show early traction

•   Strong foundational knowledge of wine

•   A true self-starter — entrepreneurial, competitive, and energized by building something from zero

•   Genuine interest in eventually leading and developing a team, not just an individual book of business

•   Comfortable working independently in a small, lean organization

•   Ability to travel within the territory up to 80% of time, including evenings/weekends

•   Must have a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, current registration, insurance, and a clean driving record

•   Able to build displays and lift cases up to 40 lbs without restriction

•   Must have skills to manage and utilize technology and software programs such as Google Workspace, Canva, Klaviyo, Commerce7

Compensation:

Base salary + commission. Uncapped commission structure — strong POD growth and territory expansion directly drive earnings.

Why Turks Head Wines:

•      You control your own destiny — build a brand without needing to rely on the three-tier system

•      Sell an award winning California wine label direct — no PLCB Loop, no distributor, no middleman

•      Build-from-scratch opportunity — your POD growth, your territory, your team

•      Direct reporting line to the Founder and President

•      Clear path from individual contributor to sales leader as the territory scales

•      Join a fast-growing, award-winning brand at a pivotal growth stage
