Job description

About the role
We are scaling a global engineering-led company operating at the intersection of AI, vision systems, and manufacturing. We are looking for a Head of Recruiting to build and run a recruiting engine that can scale headcount rapidly while maintaining a high bar for quality and culture.
This is a hands-on, operator role. You will both lead and execute - building recruiting infrastructure, managing a small team, partnering with agencies, and personally closing key hires when needed. You will personally own specific requirements and source some candidates yourself in the first 6-12 months.
What you'll do
  • Own end-to-end recruiting across all roles and geographies
  • Build and manage a small internal recruiting team
  • Individually own recruiting expansions in new geographies or for senior roles
  • Manage multiple external recruiting agencies globally and decide on how to work with agencies effectively longer term
  • Design scalable recruiting processes, tools, and reporting
  • Partner closely with the CEO and key leadership (COO, CTO, Sales lead, APAC lead) on hiring strategy
  • Drive hiring plans tied to headcount goals and budgets
  • Maintain hiring quality and cultural alignment as the company scales
  • Travel quarterly to the US/TW (depending on location) and ad-hoc travel to China (~20% travel) to stay closely aligned with leadership and hiring managers
What we're looking for
  • Experience scaling headcount rapidly (e.g., 1→10, 10→100, or similar)
  • Proven ability to lead a small recruiting team and external partners
  • Hands-on sourcing experience, including closing senior or critical hires
  • Strong operational and execution mindset
  • Ability to design structure and process without over-bureaucratizing
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Strong international sourcing experience, especially in China, Taiwan, or similar regions
Nice to have
  • Experience recruiting in technical domains (engineering, hardware, AI, manufacturing, automation)
  • Experience recruiting across multiple countries
  • Exposure to building recruiting infrastructure from scratch
Why join
  • Join a company on a rocketship trajectory with potential to own recruiting, people, and more
  • High-impact role with direct leadership partnership - this is not a typical HR role, recruiting is one of our most critical bottlenecks to enable growth
  • Opportunity to shape how the company scales globally
  • Ownership over systems, team, and outcomes
  • Work alongside world-class engineering and product leaders
