Job description

Guest Request Runner is responsible for delivering prompt, courteous, and accurate service to guests by fulfilling in-room requests, supporting hotel departments, and ensuring a seamless guest experience. This role acts as a key link between the front desk, housekeeping, engineering, and other service teams to maintain high service standards and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Request Fulfillment -Deliver requested items such as towels, linens, toiletries, amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, and equipment in a timely and professional manner.
  • Room Support Assistance -Support housekeeping; transporting supplies and assisting with room readiness.
  • Guest Interaction & Service -Greet guests warmly, confirm requests, offer additional assistance, and maintain a polished, service-oriented demeanor.
  • Housekeeping Team Coordination- communicate closely with room attendants and supervisors to prioritize requests, support heavy workloads, and ensure rooms meet brand cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Department Communication -Coordinate with front desk, housekeeping, engineering, and concierge to ensure requests are logged, tracked, and completed efficiently.
  • Use of Hotel Systems- Update request-tracking software (HotSoS) to record completed tasks and monitor pending ones.
  • Problem Resolution -Address minor guest concerns immediately and escalate larger issues to supervisors or appropriate departments.
  • Inventory & Supply Management- organize supply rooms, and report low inventory levels to supervisors.
  • Safety & Security Compliance- Follow hotel safety protocols, maintain guest privacy, and report hazards or suspicious activity.
  • Public Areas Support - Assist the Public Areas team by maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of the lobby, pool deck, gym, and other assigned areas
