Overview
Job Summary
The Guest Relations Agent will offer in-person, face-to-face personalized guest check in briefing and retail sales support at the base of operations. The role will focus on providing extraordinary service to our guests at every touch point with Blue Hawaiian, including check-in, Safety briefings, flight following, ramp operations and retail sales. The Guest Relations Agent will help grow base revenue with retail sales which will ensure a memorable vacation experience for the guest. A teammate in this role is expected to be knowledgeable about the local area and an expert on the attractions, tours, and retail that we sell. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Blue Hawaiian's Operational Specifications, Human Resources Requirements and Safety Management System.
Competitive Pay + Bonus Earning Opportunities
Our Guest Relations Agents enjoy more than just a competitive hourly wage of $19.00-$24.00 per hour. Team members also have the opportunity to earn additional income through a biweekly commission program. Commissions are driven by retail sales, first-class seat upgrades, and buyouts, with earnings shared among the team based on hours worked-rewarding collaboration while increasing your overall earning potential.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Provide each guest with a professional and courteous greeting and extraordinary guest service
  • Establish rapport and trust with the guest and assist guest in selecting the product that matches their needs. Needs are assessed via the discovery process (i.e. asking questions)
  • Sell retail items and upsell experiences
  • Take responsibility for solving guest issues in a timely fashion with satisfaction and a sense of urgency. Follow up on issues to ensure that they are resolved
  • Provide a thorough, detailed recap of the purchase along with properly thanking the guest for their business
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Job Requirements
  • Availability Required: Sunday - Saturday
  • Generally, 3 - 5 days per week, with one day being on a Saturday or Sunday
  • Any desk, any shift (Opening, mid, or closing shifts between the hours of 7 am - 6 pm)
  • Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 0%

Subject to applicable laws and Blue Hawaiian policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Blue Hawaiians' employment practices and policies.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Excellent Personal interaction skills
  • Expert-level knowledge of the local area and attractions
  • Knowledge of tour industry
