Global Mobility Tax Specialist
About your role:
The Global Mobility Tax Specialist will be responsible for guidance related to the Fiserv Global Mobility Program as it pertains to tax impacts to assignees. A truly global role requiring knowledge of international taxation across the globe. You will report to the VP, HR Operations, Global Mobility and Payroll and will partner closely with the Immigration Manager and Immigration Advisors, to review cases and provide guidance and assistance in relation to assignment taxation, in addition to working with our 3rd party tax provider.
What you'll do:
  • Prepare, review, and deliver tax-related documentation for globally mobile employees in partnership with third-party vendors and within established deadlines
  • Provide guidance to employees on tax equalization and tax protection policies to support understanding, issue resolution, and compliance with assignment requirements
  • Partner with payroll teams to support tax withholding, shadow payroll, and reporting obligations related to international assignments across multiple jurisdictions
  • Maintain accurate assignment rosters, tax records, and supporting documentation to help ensure compliance with global tax regulations and internal controls
  • Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders, including corporate tax, payroll, executive compensation, and external vendors to resolve tax-related questions and processing issues
  • Monitor developments in international tax regulations and mobility practices and update procedures, documentation, and guidance as needed
  • Support vendor management activities, including billing coordination, performance tracking, and validation of tax service deliverables
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and provide backup support for relocation activities as needed
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 4+ years of experience in global mobility tax, international tax compliance, or expatriate payroll administration, including foreign tax compliance, hypothetical tax calculations, shadow payroll, and tax equalization processes
  • 4+ years of experience working with multi-state and international tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions
  • 4+ years of experience partnering with payroll, tax, immigration, human resources, and third-party vendors to support globally mobile employees
  • Experience using Human Resources Information Systems, payroll platforms, mobility systems, or similar enterprise tools to manage employee data, assignment records, and tax-related processes
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, finance, business, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) or Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) certification, or equivalent related certification
  • Experience supporting payroll tax coordination across Asia-Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LATAM), and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)
  • Proficiency with global mobility platforms and case management workflows
  • Experience supporting relocation programs or broader global mobility operations

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
