Job description

The Global Mobility Leader at Owens Corning oversees the company's global mobility program, working closely with HR, business leaders, and external vendors to ensure efficient operations, cost management, and risk mitigation. Strong financial or tax knowledge is preferred, and the position is focused on aligning mobility strategies with the evolving needs of the business and its employees worldwide.
Scope of Responsibilities
This position oversees all aspects of global mobility at Owens Corning. The Global Mobility Leader works collaboratively with HR business partners, business leaders, talent acquisition, corporate tax, and external vendors. The objective is to uphold efficient stewardship, mitigate risk, and manage costs associated with the global mobility program.
Qualifications
  • Proven subject matter expertise in managing mobility vendor partners and programs, with the ability to balance strategic discussions and deliver effective services for informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in vendor and Request for Proposal (RFP) management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a global business environment, focusing on global mobility program management, design, and stakeholder engagement.
  • A financial and/or tax background is preferred, given the program's overall spend.
  • Expertise in U.S. and international tax, global immigration compliance, and relocation, with experience supporting global organizations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry, market, and regulatory changes related to immigration, relocation, and mobility taxation.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders across complex organizations.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Strategically execute the operational and transformational objectives of Global Mobility.
  • Drive the global mobility strategy and roadmap to ensure international assignment, immigration, relocation, and tax policies and practices align with business and talent strategies, as well as the desired employee experience.
  • Oversee the mobility program, including international assignments, international and domestic relocations, immigration, cross-border work arrangements, and all related tax and cost considerations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and trusted advisor, providing pragmatic, business-aligned guidance to global stakeholders, including high-profile talent acquisitions, permanent C-suite moves, and business travel.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, manage complex compliance, and improve the employee experience.
  • Develop and update global mobility policies and procedures to address the changing needs of the business and its employees.
  • Oversee the design, administration, and communication of mobility programs globally, including vendor strategy and related policies and practices.
  • Provide thought leadership for global mobility by staying current on industry standard processes and benchmarks.
  • Manage the Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) process in collaboration with Corporate Sourcing.
  • Manage global vendor agreements, including those related to tax, immigration, relocation, and consultants.
  • Ensure vendors deliver services in accordance with established agreements.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions by leading immigration and mobility due diligence and designing solutions to ensure smooth transitions and operational readiness.
  • Develop and facilitate training programs to educate internal stakeholders on Global Mobility.
