Job Description

The Global Mobility Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting Nidec's global mobility programs and international assignments, with a primary focus on facilitating employee relocations into the United States. This role supports endtoend mobility processes, including immigration and visa coordination, relocation logistics, compensation and benefits administration, and tax and compliance matters related to international assignments.

The ideal candidate is detailoriented, organized, and collaborative, with a strong interest in global mobility, crossborder employment matters, and supporting a positive employee experience throughout the assignment lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities

Global Mobility Program Support

  • Coordinate the endtoend process for global mobility assignments, including immigration, relocation, tax, and compliance activities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on global mobility policies, procedures, and assignment requirements.
  • Support inbound international assignments to the U.S., including housing, transportation, and settlement coordination.

Immigration & Compliance

  • Partner with external immigration counsel and specialists to ensure compliance with U.S. immigration laws and regulations.
  • Facilitate work authorization, visa, and permit applications, including preparation and tracking of required documentation and compliance steps.
  • Monitor and support ongoing compliance requirements related to international assignments.

Compensation, Benefits & Tax Coordination

  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to support accurate processing of compensation and benefits for globally mobile employees.
  • Assist with the administration of expatriate/inpat compensation and benefits programs.
  • Provide guidance on international tax considerations and coordinate with external tax providers to support compliance for international assignees.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with external vendors, including relocation providers, immigration firms, and tax consultants.
  • Coordinate services across multiple providers to ensure a seamless employee experience.

Employee Experience & Communication

  • Conduct mobility briefings and provide ongoing support to employees and managers throughout the assignment lifecycle.
  • Support repatriation processes and assist with transitions for employees returning from international assignments.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records related to global mobility assignments.

Program Development & Continuous Improvement

  • Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining global mobility policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current on immigration laws, tax regulations, and global mobility best practices to provide accurate and timely guidance.
  • Support additional HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in HR, Global Mobility, or a related field; internships or rotational experience supporting global mobility programs are acceptable.
  • Foundational knowledge of-or strong interest in learning-global mobility policies, immigration processes, tax considerations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees, leaders, and external partners.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and work effectively with external legal and professional advisors.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and related HR systems.
  • High level of discretion and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity when supporting employees on international assignments.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and a proactive, serviceoriented mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on global mobility trends and regulations.
