Training Coordinator - Global Manufacturing Learning Operations

Location: Westerville, OH - Vertiv Academy
Department: Global Learning - Operations & Manufacturing
Reports To: Director, Global Learning Operations & Enablement

POSITION SUMMARY

The Training Coordinator - Global Manufacturing Learning Operations supports the administration, coordination, communication, and reporting activities for Vertiv's Global Manufacturing and Operations learning programs. This role serves as a key operational support resource for manufacturing training initiatives, safety training administration, and Vertiv Operating System (VOS) learning coordination across global plant operations.

This position is responsible for managing learning system activities, coordinating training logistics, maintaining accurate training data and reporting, supporting communications, and helping ensure operational learning programs are delivered efficiently and consistently across the organization.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple administrative and coordination responsibilities in a fast-paced global environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Administration & Coordination

  • Coordinate and administer manufacturing, operations, safety, and VOS-related training programs within the Learning Management System (LMS). 
  • Maintain LMS user accounts, organizational structures, learning assignments, and related system administration activities. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for plant-level training coordination and scheduling support. 
  • Support onboarding and training program management activities for new operations and manufacturing employees. 
  • Track employee hires, transfers, and departures within the operations and manufacturing organization to ensure accurate training alignment and compliance. 

Reporting & Data Management

  • Create, maintain, and distribute training reports and dashboards related to manufacturing, operations, safety, and VOS learning activities. 
  • Monitor training completion status, participation metrics, and compliance-related learning data. 
  • Support ongoing tracking and reporting of VOS framework deployment and execution activities. 
  • Assist with maintaining training records, documentation, and reporting accuracy across systems and programs. 

Communications & Program Support

  • Manage communications related to operations training programs, announcements, schedules, and learning initiatives. 
  • Coordinate logistics and communications for instructor-led training sessions, virtual programs, and operational learning events. 
  • Support deployment and administration activities for global VOS learning initiatives. 
  • Provide supplementary support for eLearning deployment, testing, updates, and content coordination activities. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Manufacturing Operations Learning function and the Global Learning Operations (GLO) administration team. 
  • Partner with plant training teams, operations leaders, HR, safety teams, and program stakeholders to support training execution and alignment. 
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to training administration processes, reporting accuracy, and learning coordination activities. 
 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field preferred. 

Experience

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in training coordination, learning administration, HR support, operations support, or a related administrative role preferred. 
  • Experience supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred. 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, operations, industrial, or corporate environment is a plus. 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Ability to analyze and organize training data and reporting information. 
  • Collaborative mindset with strong customer service and stakeholder support skills. 
  • Comfortable working within structured processes and global operating environments. 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on routine coordination activities. 
 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Primarily office-based role located in Westerville. 
  • Minimal to no travel required. 
  • Supports a global operations and manufacturing learning organization with cross-functional collaboration across regions and plant locations.
