Job Title: Infrastructure & Operations Project Coordinator

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview  

Our client, a leading life sciences and pharmaceutical organization, is seeking an Infrastructure & Operations Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of IT infrastructure initiatives across the enterprise. This role is part of the IT Global Infrastructure & Operations team based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Key Responsibilities  
  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, milestones, and deliverables across multiple infrastructure and operations initiatives
  • Support project managers and technical teams executing network, cloud, data center, security, and operational improvement projects
  • Maintain project plans, status reports, meeting documentation, action items, and project schedules
  • Facilitate communication between infrastructure, security, application, vendor, and business stakeholders
  • Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations ensuring timely resolution
  • Prepare project dashboards, KPI reports, executive summaries, and governance materials
  • Coordinate governance meetings, steering committee reviews, and stakeholder updates
  • Monitor project budgets, resource allocations, and procurement activities
  • Assist with vendor coordination, contract tracking, and onboarding activities
  • Support PMO best practices and operational excellence initiatives
Required Skills  
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, PMO support, or IT project management
  • Experience supporting infrastructure, cloud, network, security, or operations projects
  • Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow, or Azure DevOps
  • Experience maintaining project schedules, action logs, and RAID logs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
Preferred Skills  
  • CAPM, PMP, Prince2 Foundation, or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) environment
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and IT service management frameworks
  • Experience with infrastructure transformation, cloud migration, or enterprise technology modernization
  • Background in regulated, healthcare, or global enterprise environments
