Job description

Position Summary
The Senior Coordinator, People Operations plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing the employee experience through effective administration of benefits, HR systems, compliance processes, onboarding programs, and wellness initiatives. This role is responsible for executing core People Operations programs, leveraging HR data and reporting to drive insights, and managing cross-functional projects that strengthen organizational effectiveness.
This position requires a detail-oriented, tech-savvy professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about operational excellence and employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
  • Administer day-to-day benefits programs including health, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness offerings
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accuracy of benefits data within HRIS systems and vendor platforms
  • Partner with brokers and providers to ensure competitive and compliant offerings

HRIS & Systems Management
  • Maintain and optimize HRIS (e.g., Workday, ADP, BambooHR) ensuring data integrity and system efficiency
  • Support system updates, integrations, and enhancements
  • Generate and analyze HR data reports to support decision-making
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide end-user support and training
  • Develop documentation and standard operating procedures for HR systems

Compliance & Audits
  • Execute HR compliance activities, including internal audits and documentation reviews
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support audit readiness (e.g., benefits, I-9s, EEO reporting)
  • Partner with legal, finance, and external vendors on compliance-related initiatives

Onboarding & Gameday Staff Operations
  • Coordinate onboarding processes for employees, with a strong focus on high-volume onboarding of gameday staff
  • Ensure timely completion of new hire documentation, I-9 verification, and system setup
  • Partner with HR and operations leaders to manage seasonal hiring cycles and onboarding timelines
  • Continuously improve onboarding workflows to enhance efficiency and employee experience

Wellness & Employee Experience Initiatives
  • Support the design and execution of employee wellness programs and initiatives
  • Track participation and measure effectiveness of wellness efforts
  • Coordinate events, campaigns, and communications that foster engagement and well-being

Project Management
  • Lead and support People Operations projects (e.g., system implementations, process improvements, policy updates)
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and track deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency

Reporting & Analytics
  • Produce regular and ad hoc HR reports (headcount, turnover, benefits utilization, onboarding metrics, compliance metrics)
  • Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to People leadership
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and reports

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in HR operations, benefits administration, onboarding, or HRIS
  • Experience managing high-volume onboarding or seasonal workforce processes (preferred in event-driven environments)
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and reporting tools
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance and employment regulations
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Preferred
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP)
  • Experience supporting gameday, event-based, or hourly workforce populations
  • Experience managing HR-related projects or implementations
  • Exposure to benefits vendors, brokers, and wellness program management
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or data analytics tools
