General Description:
The Assistant Athletic Director - Internal Affairs reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for assisting in the operations of the department, carrying out all activities necessary to accomplish all its' objectives within the guidelines of the NAIA, Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) and Louisiana State University of Alexandria.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the front line of communication for the department, including assisting coaches with work day software, travel and budgeting
  • Oversee and manage all budgets for each sport and administration
  • Complete all requisitions on behalf of department and act as liaison between athletics and the accounting office.
  • Prepare deposits for all Athletics revenues, including ticket sales, fundraisers and all other monies
  • Work with Faculty Athletic Representative on student-athlete NAIA compliance certification
  • Assist Foundation accountant to reconcile vendor invoices, account statements and sponsorship fulfillment
  • Keep records of all signing letters and grant-in-aid agreements between players and coaches
  • Serve as the Title IX Coordinator for the department
  • Annual Reports such as EADA and the NAIA's ROA Year-End Report
  • Act as point of contact for visiting teams and officials for home events. Update visitor's guide annually and provide copies to all visiting teams
  • Act as event administrator for assigned athletic events at home and occasionally on the road
  • Oversee all aspects of athletic event ticketing (pre-event sales and setup, event sales, post-event reconciliations and deposits)
  • Direct gameday management at all LSUA home events including overseeing gameday workers and interns for event setup, game responsibilities, and breakdown
  • Help with all operations of conferences and national tournaments hosted by LSUA
  • Write and apply for annual grants with national and local foundations
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid driver license
  • A background check will be required of the successful applicant
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • 2-3 years' experience in athletic administration
