Job description

Job Title: Part-Time Operations Assistant (Payroll, HR & Finance)
Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland
Hours: Approximately 25 hours per week
Role Overview
MPF Federal, LLC, a Federal government contractor located in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a detail-oriented professional to provide administrative and clerical support across our Payroll, Human Resources, and Finance departments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, enjoys working with numbers, and maintains a high level of confidentiality.
Compensation
  • Salary Range: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Support: Assist with the processing of payroll, including timecard verification, manual data entry, and resolving minor payroll discrepancies.
  • HR Administration: Maintain digital employee files, assist with digitizing existing paper files, and track compliance documentation.
  • Finance & Accounting Clerical Work: Perform data entry for accounts payable/receivable, assist with expense report processing, and help prepare documents for monthly reconciliations.
  • Operations Support: Scan mail to relevant off-site staff, track supply usage and reorder when necessary.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
    • HS Diploma or GED required.
    • 1-2 years' experience in an administrative support role or similar, required.
    • 1-2 years' experience directly supporting or processing payroll is required, prior experience administratively supporting human resources, preferred but not required.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiar with SharePoint.
    • Onsite Availability: Ability to work from our physical office in Gaithersburg, MD between 9:00-3:00. Specific hours and days are flexible and will be agreed upon after hire.
