Job description

Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Eventive Sports is the industry leader in dedicated sports event management. Eventive Sports manages major sporting events such as the Regions Tradition, Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix, Magic City Classic, UFL and Gameday operations for the University of Alabama, Auburn University, Oklahoma University, Rose Bowl and Alabama State University.


Eventive Sports has worked with the University of Alabama since 2006 to develop, execute and enhance their Gameday operational plan in the following ways:

  • Manage campus security and parking staff
  • Coordinate with all entities involved in gameday operations – UA Athletics, PD, DOT, FD, State Troopers, Emergency Management, Uber/Lyft, etc.
  • Optimize traffic flow
  • Management of public tailgating areas
  • Assist with reserved parking sales and renewals
  • Collect and analyze operational metrics and data
  • Strategic fan enhancement observation and recommendations
  • Operational assistance for Men’s Basketball, Gymnastics, Commencements and Bid Day
  • Creation and maintenance of the University’s official gameday website, UAGameday.com
  • Development and maintenance of UA Gameday’s social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and mobile
    app
  • Management of customer service channels – message center, email, web chat

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Operational duties – signage, cones, barricade placement
  • Collection and analysis of key operational metrics
  • Work with vendors to ensure quality service is provided
  • Observe the fan experience and provide improvement ideas
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Opportunities to work other Eventive Sports events based on performance & reliability

Abilities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Self-motivated & team oriented
  • Energetic, outgoing personality
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in sports and/or a career in the sports industry
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Willingness to do manual labor & ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Willingness to work all 7 UA home games & long hours

Expected Hours:

  • Hours are anticipated to be 30 hours per week during home game weeks
  • Hours during away game & off weeks will vary
