Description
The Gameday Operations / Facility Management Student Assistant supports the preparation, execution, and breakdown of athletics events and assists in maintaining athletics facilities. This role is ideal for students interested in event management, facilities operations, or sports administration.
Examples of Duties
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of athletics venues for games, practices, and special events
  • Ensure equipment, seating, signage, and field/court areas are properly prepared for competition
  • Support visiting teams, officials, and campus partners on gamedays
  • Help monitor cleanliness, safety, and functionality of athletics facilities before, during, and after events
  • Assist with light maintenance tasks as directed by the Physical Plant staff
  • Provide excellent customer service to fans, teams, and officials

Minimum Qualifications
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings/weekends as required by event schedules
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and perform tasks that involve standing and walking for extended periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Prior event or facility operations experience is a plus, but not required
