Job description

Scopely is looking for a Product Manager, Live Ops & Monetization  to join our Marvel Strike Force team in the United States or Canada on a remote basis.

At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

Marvel Strike Force is Scopely's squad-based Hero Collector RPG, housing heroes and villains across the Marvel Universe.

What You Will Do

In this role, you aren't just a passenger on a successful game; you are the owner of a specific performance vector (e.g., Battle Pass, Character Launch Monetization, or Limited-Time Events). You will be responsible for defining the strategy for your "lane," setting aggressive targets, and using your analytical prowess to ensure we hit them. We are looking for a "Product-Analyst" hybrid who loves the thrill of an A/B test and the clarity of a well-defined SQL query.

As a Product Manager, you will own the end-to-end performance and implementation of a critical slice of the Marvel Strike Force ecosystem.

  • Vector Ownership: Take full accountability for a specific business vertical. You will define the roadmap for your area, ensuring it integrates seamlessly into the broader live operations and monetization strategy.
  • Target Setting & OKRs: Define, track, and hit OKRs and KPIs. You won't just report on numbers; you will work with leadership to set ambitious targets and build the tactical plan to achieve them
  • SQL-Led Discovery: Act as your own best analyst. Use SQL to deep-dive into player segments, identifying exactly where friction exists in your vector and where the next growth opportunity lies
  • Hypothesis & A/B Testing: Move beyond "gut feel." You will design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and multivariate experiments to optimize offer conversion, event engagement, and feature spend
  • Iterative Optimization: Demonstrate a relentless track record of improving feature performance. You will monitor live results daily, iterating on tuning and rewards to maximize both short-term revenue and long-term retention
  • Live Systems Synergy: Ensure your specific vector (e.g., a specific event type) drives meaningful monetization without cannibalizing other systems or damaging player sentiment.

What We're Looking For

  • The "Ex-Analyst" Edge: Strong preference for candidates with a background in Data Analysis or Economy who have transitioned into Product Management. Or who are looking for their opportunity to make the transition now
  • Technical Mastery: High proficiency in SQL is non-negotiable. You must be able to pull your own data to validate your strategy. Experience with Tableau for performance visualization is a major plus
  • Live Ops Veteran: Significant experience in free-to-play mobile games, specifically owning live features or monetization systems
  • Scientific Method: A proven track record of using A/B testing and hypothesis-driven development to move the needle on core business metrics
  • Goal-Oriented: Experience working within OKR frameworks and a comfort level with being held accountable for specific revenue and engagement targets

Bonus Points

  • RPG Expertise: Deep knowledge of Squad RPGs or Hero Collectors (knowing the difference between a Blitz and a Raid is a head start)
  • Systems Expert: Experience managing complex progression-based monetization (e.g., Battle Passes, Shard-based economies)
