Brand Management at Riot is focused on players and fans. As a Brand Manager II for Teamfight Tactics, you will primarily lead publishing and brand marketing efforts for TFT Esports (approx. 80% of your scope) while supporting broader TFT publishing initiatives and evergreen brand priorities (approx. 20%). You'll help strengthen TFT's competitive identity through integrated campaigns, compelling storytelling, and player-first experiences that celebrate the game's global esports ecosystem. 80% Esports / 20% Game
This is a highly collaborative role that works across Creative, Communications, Social, Regional Publishing, Esports Product, Broadcast, Community, and Production teams to deliver impactful campaigns that grow fandom and support business outcomes.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing and this role can be based in Mexico city or LAX.
Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy & Campaign Leadership
  • Steward the TFT Esports brand by developing marketing and communications strategies that strengthen its competitive identity and deepen player fandom.
  • Lead integrated global marketing campaigns for esports events, tournaments, and competitive moments, from brief through launch, measurement, and retrospective.
  • Translate player and audience insights into compelling creative briefs, campaign strategies, and marketing plans.
  • Support broader TFT publishing initiatives throughout the year, contributing to game campaigns and evergreen brand priorities beyond the esports calendar.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Global Publishing
  • Partner with Esports Product, Broadcast, Competitive Operations, Social, Community, Influencer, and Regional Publishing teams to develop aligned global marketing plans.
  • Partner with regional publishing teams by providing creative frameworks, marketing assets, and best practices that enable locally relevant execution while maintaining global brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with Insights, Business Development, Product, and Live Experiences teams to identify opportunities that strengthen the TFT player experience and esports ecosystem.

Creative & Operational Excellence
  • Steward creative development across esports marketing initiatives, ensuring work reflects TFT's brand, competitive spirit, and player experience.
  • Manage campaign timelines, budgets, agency relationships, and production partners to deliver high-quality work that is on strategy, on time, and on budget.
  • Stay closely connected to the TFT community, competitive scene, and broader gaming landscape to identify emerging opportunities and inform future marketing initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in brand management, product marketing, community marketing, or agency roles within gaming, entertainment, or esports.
  • Deep understanding of the TFT esports landscape and a nuanced grasp of the players, fans, creators, and communities that shape its competitive ecosystem.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing and communications campaigns from planning through launch.
  • Strong understanding of brand fundamentals and experience translating player or audience insights into effective marketing strategies.
  • Experience working with gaming audiences, live events, or community-driven marketing initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional and international teams to deliver shared goals.
  • Experience working with agencies, creative partners, or production teams to bring campaigns to life.
  • Experience using campaign performance data and audience insights to evaluate campaign performance and optimize future marketing efforts.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Teamfight Tactics, Riot Games' portfolio, or competitive strategy games.
  • Experience partnering with esports product, broadcast, live event production, or game development teams.
  • Understanding of creative production workflows and integrated global marketing campaigns.
