Job description

Product Marketing
Location: New York City (In-Person)
What We Do
Grotto is the AI platform that supercharges multifamily real-estate teams during the moments that matter most. We're starting with leasing conversations-one of the most important decisions most of us make every year.
Our data from millions of prospect interactions shows that the #1 predictor of whether someone signs a lease isn't product knowledge or perfect scripts. It's agents who are genuinely curious and who laugh-things that AI alone struggles at today.
So we built a platform that guides leasing agents in real-time during calls and tours-helping them build rapport, handle objections, and convert more prospects into signed leases.
It's working. We've been told by customers that we're "the best vendor they've ever worked with."
And this is just the start. Our vision is a world where life's most important conversations leave people feeling more connected.
The Role
You'll be Grotto's first product marketing hire, responsible for building the function from the ground up.
Your job is to make Grotto impossible to ignore: at industry conferences, in search results, in the conversations property operators are having about AI. You'll own the content, collateral, and campaigns that drive awareness and support our sales team. And you'll help define a new voice for how humans and AI can work together in multifamily-a narrative that doesn't exist yet.
What You'll Do
  • Build and own Grotto's content engine from scratch: blog, SEO/AEO/GEO strategy, thought leadership, customer stories
  • Create sales collateral that helps our GTM team close deals-one-pagers, decks, case studies, competitive positioning
  • Own our presence at industry conferences: booth materials, speaking proposals, sponsorship strategy, follow-up campaigns.
  • Develop the narrative around AI + humans in multifamily-positioning Grotto as the voice of a new way of working
  • Partner closely with the CEO, GTM team, and Design to ensure consistency across everything we put into the world
  • Stand up the infrastructure: analytics, keyword research, content calendar, measurement frameworks
What We're Looking For
  • (Non-Negotiable) You've spent at least 2 years in product, design or engineering at an early or growth-stage startup.
  • 3-8 years of experience in product marketing, content marketing, or a related role
  • AI-native.
  • You've built something from scratch before-content programs, demand gen engines, brand narratives-at an early or growth-stage startup
  • Strong writer with a point of view. You can translate complex, technical ideas into clear, compelling content.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. You don't need a detailed brief to get started.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI-not as a buzzword, but as a tool you use and a space you follow closely
  • Experience with SEO fundamentals; bonus if you're already thinking about AEO (answer engine optimization) and GEO (generative engine optimization)
  • Based in NYC
Nice to Have
  • Experience in proptech, real estate, or operationally complex industries
  • Experience with conference marketing and field events
Why This Role Is Different
Most product marketing roles are about refining what already exists. This one is about building from zero. You'll create Grotto's marketing function, define our voice in market, and shape how an entire industry thinks about AI.
If you're excited by blank canvases, by building the thing instead of optimizing the thing, and by working at the intersection of AI and one of America's most essential industries-this is for you.
