Job description

Department: Product Management
Reports to: Senior Director of Software Products
Location: Scotts Valley, CA or Remote (United States)
We're hiring a Senior Software Product Marketing Manager to turn our product plans into go-to-market strategies and plans. We're hiring a Senior Software Product Marketing Manager to turn our product plans into go-to-market strategies. Working closely with Software Product Management, you'll root every plan in validated market problems, then shape them into positioning and messaging that resonates with target personas in their own language.
Your main deliverable is the GTM Strategy and Requirements Plan: who we're selling to, the value we offer, how we stack up against competitors, and what sales and channel partners need to sell it well. That plan becomes the foundation for the broader Integrated Commercial Plan, which you'll help drive with teams across the company, from first pitch through a successful launch.
Open to candidates anywhere in the United States. We'd love to see applicants near our HQ in Scotts Valley, CA.
Responsibilities
Market Intelligence & Positioning
  • Work with Software Product Management and Product Owners to build and refine primary persona profiles, ensuring commercial messaging is anchored in validated market problems and written in the persona's own language.
  • Build competitive positioning frameworks and differentiated messaging for key market segments, centered on the real problems personas are trying to solve and the strengths UA can credibly claim.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and spokesperson for customers, press, and industry events.

GTM Planning & Execution
  • Own the GTM Strategy and Requirements Plan, the core document that defines target personas, value propositions, messaging, competitive positioning, and commercial plays for each release.
  • Prioritize and develop messaging, content, and assets for marketing programs and campaigns, tracking engagement and conversion to see what's landing.
  • Maintain the content calendar supporting campaigns, promotions, and partner initiatives.
  • Train the sales team on positioning and ensure they have the assets and content to prepare their resellers and channel partners to sell effectively.
Qualifications
  • Experience in music recording and creation technology including effects processors and plug-ins, digital audio workstations, recording interfaces, and virtual instruments strongly preferred.
  • Experience with the Pragmatic Institute framework, particularly outside-in messaging and persona-driven positioning.
  • Strong data literacy and reporting skills, with the ability to use PLG (product-led growth) motions and data to drive decisions and report results to executive leadership and broader teams.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Marketing experience across multiple domains (brand, social, artist, growth, lifecycle) preferred.
  • Experience with writing or video production is a strong plus.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills (or the equivalent Google Workspace tools).
  • Passion for music, whether as a creator, performer, or enthusiast.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of marketing or product management experience.
