What is a game monetization manager?

A Game Monetization Manager is a professional responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize revenue from a video game. This includes overseeing in-game purchases, ad placements, pricing models, and promotional offers to ensure a balance between player satisfaction and profitability. They analyze player behavior, sales data, and market trends to optimize monetization tactics while maintaining a positive player experience. A Game Monetization Manager works closely with game designers, product managers, data analysts, and marketing teams to develop and refine in-game purchase systems and pricing models. Regular meetings and cross-functional reviews are common, allowing the Monetization Manager to align revenue strategies with broader game development and live operations goals.
