Full-Time Loan Processor-Closer

We are seeking a Full-Time Loan Processor/Closer to join our team and work on-site at our Operations Center in Bloomsburg, PA. As part of the Loan Processing Department, this position reports to the AVP, Loan Processing Manager.

The Full-Time Loan Processor/Closer is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the loan processing/closing function; preparing loan documents, reviewing documents for accuracy, onboarding loans; answering and directing phone calls, reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent with a preference for advanced degree and/or specialized training in a business or financial field. In addition, a minimum of two (2) years experience in a banking or related position, with a working knowledge of loans and documentation is preferred.

The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties to support the loan processing function, including but not limited to:
1. Order, process and review appraisals.
2. Types correspondence memos, forms, tables and reports. Utilizes word processing, spreadsheets and specialized departmental equipment/software to prepare documents as appropriate.
3. Process mortgage files to prepare to go to underwriting.
4. Contacts loan customers, insurance companies to request information.
5. Works closely with Originators and Underwriters in all aspects of the loan process and closings.
6. Understands and is familiar with all loan products and the documents specific to the products.
7. Provides information and assists in the preparation of various loan reports, HMDA reporting, etc.
8. Works closely with title agents and abstract companies to prepare closing documents.
9. Verifies completion of all loans being closed, have proper approvals and meet bank policy.
10. Schedules closings with attorneys and settlement agencies.
11. Reviews and updates secondary market automated underwriting reports.
12. Assembles files and sends to PHFA; follows up on any missing documentation with PHFA.
13. Places, directs and assists with internal and external telephone calls.
14. Cooperates with, participates in, and promotes the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety, soundness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This includes annual Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training and complying with all BSA rules and regulations as they pertain to the job position within the Bank.

Requirements: The selected candidate must have the ability to use a computer with Windows and Web-based software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficient reading and math skills are required, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). Candidates must have proficient typing skills with high attention to detail and accuracy; and a positive and professional mannerism. Preference for working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures that impact consumer and mortgage loan document services.

Work hours are Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
