Job description

Skilled Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic

Metro Detroit Area | Full-Time, Union

Barton Malow Company is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team across various jobsites in the metro Detroit area. We're looking for a production-oriented team player who can safely repair equipment in outdoor conditions across all seasons and weather. Because timely response is critical to keeping our crews productive, regular and reliable attendance is essential to this role.

This full-time union position offers a supportive team environment and a field service truck, with hours ranging from 40 to 45 per week. Pay is based on union scale.

What You'll Do
  • Service, inspect, and maintain a range of heavy equipment on jobsites
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues safely and efficiently
  • Operate equipment within its rated capabilities to complete repairs
  • Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to Barton Malow's safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Bring strong knowledge of equipment and workplace safety to every task

Requirements
  • Four years of heavy equipment repair experience

  • Must maintain a clean driving record
