Qualifications

The Seal Coat Laborer is responsible for assisting in the preparation, application, and clean-up of seal coating operations on driveways, parking lots, and roadways. This position involves working outdoors in a physically demanding environment to ensure high-quality surface sealing that protects asphalt from wear, weather, and chemical damage.

  • Assist with the setup, operation, and clean-up of seal coating jobs.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces using blowers, brooms, and power washers.
  • Apply sealer using squeegees, brushes, or spray equipment.
  • Place cones, barricades, and signs to ensure proper traffic control and safety on job sites.
  • Operate small equipment such as blowers, crack fillers, and hand tools.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain cleanliness of job site during and after work.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work collaboratively with the crew to complete projects efficiently and professionally.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Supervisor.
