Our unified platform offers passwordless authentication, risk monitoring, and compliance enforcement, enabling resource-constrained IT teams to proactively address today's most pressing security challenges.
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our team. The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in driving the sales process by providing technical expertise, conducting product demonstrations, and ensuring our solutions align with customer needs. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, sales experience, and excellent communication skills.
While this is a fully remote role, we are only looking to hire in Texas, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Consultation: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospective customers, understanding their requirements and articulating how Portnox's solutions can address their challenges.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct compelling product demonstrations, showcasing the features and benefits of our solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with customers and internal teams to design and propose tailored solutions that meet specific customer needs.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team in responding to RFPs, preparing technical proposals, and providing technical input during the sales cycle.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners, ensuring a deep understanding of their business objectives and technical environments.
  • Training and Enablement: Provide technical training and support to customers, partners, and internal sales personnel to ensure successful adoption and utilization of Portnox solutions.
  • Feedback Loop: Communicate customer feedback and insights to product management and engineering teams to inform product development and enhancements.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sales engineering or similar technical role, preferably within the cybersecurity or network access control domain.
    • Cybersecurity experience required.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in network security concepts, including authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) services.
    • Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and solutions.
    • Experience with zero trust security frameworks and network access control solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing customer challenges.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to support sales activities and customer engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Portnox or similar network access control solutions.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, or equivalent.
