This full-time position, primarily remote, offers you the chance to provide essential mental health support to a diverse client base in Fontana, California. This role offers a remote work setting with some engagement in our outpatient facility in Fontana, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. Our mental health counselors typically operate from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient schedules and needs. • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine individual patient needs and create tailored treatment plans that reflect best practices in therapy.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to effectively support individuals, couples, and families in overcoming their challenges.
• Lead psychoeducational and support groups that cultivate community engagement and offer peer support for individuals dealing with similar mental health conditions.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care and optimize treatment outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support to patients during critical mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Ensure maintenance of accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in team meetings, consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to remain informed about advances in mental health practices.

Our patients represent a diverse demographic, facing a variety of mental health issues. This role requires sensitivity and adaptability to address the needs of individuals from different backgrounds, including but not limited to adolescents, adults, and families. By fostering a therapeutic rapport, you will help patients navigate their unique challenges while developing resilience and coping strategies.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW or LPCC in the state of California.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and treatment methodologies, as well as demonstrated skills in assessment and treatment planning.
• Experience providing both individual and group therapy to various populations, ensuring a culturally competent approach to care.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Dedication to ethical practice with sound judgment in maintaining professional boundaries.

• Previous experience in an outpatient setting is a plus, particularly with varied therapy modalities.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and previous use of telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions.
• Participation in continuing education programs in mental health or related fields will be highly regarded.
