About the Facility
Ahava Therapy Services is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehabilitation team at Wexford House, a 173-bed skilled nursing facility offering short- and long-term rehabilitation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy to residents in accordance with the Physical Therapist's treatment plans.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
  • Observe, record, and report resident responses and conditions to the Therapist.
  • Maintain daily records and document treatment and progress notes as directed.
  • Assist with consultations involving family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Support the care of therapy department equipment and participate in in-service programs and meetings.
  • Access continuing education opportunities to maintain clinical competency.
  • Participate in rehabilitation team conferences and other facility meetings.
  • Adhere to company and facility policies, regulatory standards, and quality improvement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to provide quality care.
  • Understand reimbursement and allocate therapy resources efficiently.
  • Support the company's mission and maintain a professional image.
  • Independently perform duties and recognize situations requiring direct supervision.
  • Maintain expected productivity levels.

✔️ Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Current license or eligible for practice under state statutes
  • BLS/CPR certification (current or obtained during orientation)
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
