Independently performs neurodiagnostic procedures including both routine & long-term electroencephalograms (EEGs) and all modalities of evoked potential procedures under their scope of practice. Is knowledgeable in correct EEG, long-term monitoring (LTM), continuous (CEEG)/ICU monitoring, and evoked potential (EP) performance and recognition of clinically significant events and follows the facility's policy and procedures. Exercises professional judgement in the performance of exams and communicates effectively with the neurologist and other staff members.

May have on call responsibilities. Education Education Required: High School completion / GED Additional requirements: Preferred educational qualifications: Associate degree Licensure/Certification/Registration: CPR Certification required R.EEG.T board-eligible R.EP.T board-eligible Experience Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience Preferred experience: Two years of experience in Electroencephalograms (EEG) and Evoked Potentials, (EP) Knowledge/Skills -Electrode application -Pattern recognition -Correlates patient history and clinical symptoms -Neuroanatomy and neurophysiology -Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
