Job Description: Sustainability and Social Responsibility Manager

Join Globe Telecom as a Sustainability and Social Responsibility Manager and contribute to the organization's sustainability journey. Your expertise in sustainable development and reporting will help drive positive change, enhance stakeholder engagement, and support the company's strategic goals, as guided by local and global sustainability frameworks.

Position Overview:

The Sustainability and Social Responsibility Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the organization's sustainability strategies and initiatives. He/she plays a pivotal role in driving environmental, social, and governance practices across the company, ensuring alignment with local regulations, global standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably with a bachelor's degree in business management, finance, operations management, supply chain management, behavioral science, environmental studies, social science, any engineering-related degree, or any sustainable development-related degree. An advanced degree and relevant professional certifications in sustainability, finance and project management are a plus.

  • Worked in a Sustainability-related role for at least seven (7) years

  • Foundational knowledge of Sustainability Reporting frameworks, such as GRI, IIRC , SASB, TCFD, IFRS S1 and S2 and other relevant reporting standards.

  • Experienced project manager with a strong ability to lead and execute strategies.

  • Research-driven with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Familiarity with environmental and social impact measurement methodologies and reporting practices.

  • Excellent communication, business casing and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities:

ESG Strategy Development and Implementation:

  • Develop sustainability strategies relevant to the business.

  • Conduct materiality study, analyze data and translate to business insights

  • Perform end-to-end Sustainability Project Management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG into business operations, processes, and decision-making frameworks.

  • Monitor progress of sustainability against goals, targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Integrate environment and social considerations into supply chain processes

ESG Reporting and Disclosures:

  • Prepare and submit Sustainability reports, disclosures, and surveys, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with relevant sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, ,TCFD, IFRS S1 and S2).

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather data and information required for ESG reporting, ensuring data integrity and reliability.

  • Ability to analyze industry trends, regulations, and emerging ESG issues to identify opportunities and risks, and recommend appropriate strategies and actions.

  • Familiarity with the United Nations Global Compact Principles and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, and community partners, to foster collaboration, gather insights, and address material sustainability concerns.

  • Support the development and maintenance of strong relationships with sustainability-related external organizations, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.

Technical Expertise

  • Governance

    • Perform end-to-end Business Casing and Project Management that covers supply chain strategies such as:

      • Climate Action

      • Nature Action

      • Social Impact

    • Define and execute strategies for embedding sustainability into key business processes, specifically supply chain.
