Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Associate PACS Administrator provides basic system administration of the Systems utilized for display, retention, and interpretation of medical imaging exams. Exercises judgment within well-defined procedures to solve moderately complex problems with a limited number of variables. They have a solid foundation of knowledge and skill sets for supported platforms/products and environments; focus primarily on maintenance and support of existing applications. Has limited project assignments that are small in scope and low in complexity.

  • Provide technical support of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and related medical imaging applications infrastructure.
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PACS and related medical imaging applications software and hardware components.
  • Assists in the resolution and documentation of major incidents and outages to our production environment and Monitor and optimize PACS performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies. Monitors systems, interfaces, and integration pieces to include daily QC reports.
  • Implements process changes, collects data, and makes recommendations to expedite workflow; Maintains an up-to-date understanding and working knowledge of the processes involved.
  • Responds appropriately to requests and concerns from users or others affected by the systems and Informs all medical imaging leadership of changes, problems, and upgrades to PACS and related medical imaging applications; Provide user training and technical support for PACS-related applications and activities.
  • Implement and enforce data security protocols to safeguard patient information within the PACS and associated medical imaging applications; Collaborate with IT teams to integrate PACS with other healthcare information systems.Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance PACS capabilities.
