Job description

Operations Manager

Christkindlmarkt Dublin is currently seeking a full-time Operations Manager in Dublin, Ohio to join our collaborative and festive team!

Pay: $55,000-$80,000/year

Responsibilities:

• Oversees Christkindlmarkt Dublin’s vendors and day-to-day operations, including retail, vendor relationships, special projects, opening and closing responsibilities, and facilities needs.

• Manages vendor relationships, including booth needs, annual vendor communications, contracts, troubleshooting, vendor support, and end-of-season vendor reviews.

• Serves as a liaison for external stakeholders, including municipal departments, building inspectors, fire and police departments, on-site security, medics, and Market partners.

• Supports retail operations by working with leadership to order products and supplies, coordinate product design and ordering, complete inventory, oversee retail scheduling, and manage end-of-day reporting.

• Works with the CEO to develop the Market layout, optimize the visitor and vendor experience, establish annual budget timelines, and implement Standard Operating Procedures and best practices.

• Assists with compliance communications, including insurance providers, Health Department requirements, alcohol licensure, and other regulatory organizations.

• Performs accounting-related duties, including tracking, uploading, filing, and reconciling receipts and expenses, assisting with vendor billing, and serving as the point of contact for Point of Sale system setup, navigation, reporting, and vendor billing.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in operations, facility management, event planning, event management, or a related field.

• Experience managing and working with contracted employees, vendors, and external partners.

• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to anticipate and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate through conflict, problem-solve issues to resolution, and work well in a team environment.

• Ability to adapt to change, establish relationships, maintain composure in the face of adversity, and lead team members with positivity.

• Good vocational aptitude, including the ability to set up, maintain, diagnose issues with, and fix basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

• Ability and willingness to work in cold temperatures, stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 75 lbs., go up and down ladders, and occasionally work on hands and knees.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle to move inventory and materials to and from the Market.

Hours: Full-time, year-round position. With the exception of in-person meetings, this position will be remote except during the Market season, which includes night and weekend hours.
