Job description

We are seeking a Registered Nurseย to join our team of caring professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Have working knowledge of NYS OPWDD rules and regulations governing the care of consumers residing in and attending programs.

Review clinic forms for accuracies and discrepancies.

Review data collection.

Supervise Direct Care Staff in caring for consumers with common illnesses and providing basic therapeutic and preventative nursing procedures.

Document findings, treatment and results in on-going nurse notes as needed and as per standards of care.

Control of communicable diseases and infections through; Identification and assessment; Reporting to medical authorities; Implementation of appropriate protective and preventive measures

Training of facility personnel which includes detecting signs of illness or dysfunction that warrant medical or nursing intervention; basic skills required to meet the health needs and problems of the residents; First aid in the presence of accident or illness.

Review records of each resident on medication for potentially adverse reactions and allergies. Advise the physician of any recommended changes.

Pay Rate: $87,000 annually

The Registered Nurse will be licensed and registered by the State Department of Education

Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred

Must have your own car and a valid NYS Driverโ€™s license.
