Day Habilitation Program Coordinator - Position Summary 

Schedule: Full Time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Location: Norwich, NY

Position Overview the Day Habilitation Program Coordinator oversees the daily operations of assigned Day Habilitation programs, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services and compliance with NYS OPWDD regulations and agency standards. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day program operations and community-based activities.
  • Ensure compliance with NYS OPWDD, Medicaid, and agency requirements.
  • Recruit, supervise, coach, and develop program staff.
  • Manage employee performance, scheduling, payroll, and time-off processes.
  • Support individuals in achieving meaningful outcomes and community inclusion.
  • Monitor program quality, service delivery, and financial performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and Medicaid billing practices.
  • Conduct audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with individuals served, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Provide staff training and ensure required certifications are maintained.
  • Respond to incidents, safety concerns, and compliance matters in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field and three (3) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is acceptable to the agency's insurance carrier.
