What does a full time litigation paralegal do?

A Full Time Litigation Paralegal assists attorneys in all stages of the litigation process, from initial case preparation to trial and post-trial procedures. Their duties typically include organizing and managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting documents such as motions and subpoenas, and coordinating discovery. They also help interview witnesses, prepare exhibits, and provide support during court proceedings. Paralegals play a crucial role in ensuring cases proceed smoothly by handling many of the administrative and procedural tasks required in litigation.

How does a full time litigation paralegal typically collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals during a case?

A Full Time Litigation Paralegal works closely with attorneys by managing case files, conducting legal research, and organizing evidence for trial. Paralegals often serve as the main point of contact between attorneys, clients, and expert witnesses, ensuring smooth communication and timely sharing of critical information. They may also draft legal documents, coordinate discovery processes, and assist in preparing for depositions and court hearings. This collaborative environment requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time litigation paralegal, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Time Litigation Paralegal, you need strong legal research, document management, and case preparation skills, typically supported by a paralegal certificate or relevant degree.
