Job Overview:ย
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Paralegal to join our growing team.ย The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of recent litigation experience and will contribute at a high level.ย Insurance defense experience required.ย Hybrid schedule available.
As a Paralegal at Sandhu Law Group, youโre valued as a key player in supporting attorneys through every phase of litigation.ย You wil assist with case management, draft and proofread legal documents, organize, review and manage large volumes of records related to litigation.ย You will assist in preparing for depositions, hearings and trials.ย
Key Responsibilities:
ยทย Support attorneys and demonstrate confidence with case management from intake to resolution.
ยทย Draft litigation documents: complaints, answers, discovery and motions.
ยทย Coordinate and manage discovery, including drafting and responding.
ยทย Analyze and summarize medical records, deposition transcripts and received case file documents.
ยทย Track and calendar deadlines and court deadlines, ensuring deadlines are met.
ยทย ย Manage court filings and service of process.
ยทย Assist in trial preparation: prepare pre-trial and trial materials, witness/exhibit lists, trial binders, etc.
ยทย Conduct legal research using California Rules of Court and local rules, including jury verdict searches.
ยทย Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases as needed.
ยทย Prepare and manage correspondence, including emails, letters, and other written communications to clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
ยทย Maintain and enter timekeeping records for billable matters.
ยทย Perform other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
ยทย Minimum 7 years recent litigation experience, insurance defense is preferred.
ยทย Paralegal certificate with current CLE requirements met.
ยทย Strong understanding of state and federal court processes, including e-filing, court rules, forms, calendaring, pleadings, discovery procedures and trial preparation.
ยทย Strong time communication, time management, attention to detail and organizational skills.
ยทย Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
ยทย Exceptional writing and proofreading skills.
ยทย Strong work ethic, taking ownership and pride in work.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with competitive compensation and benefits.ย The salary range is $84,000 - $98,000+ annually based on experience. ย ย Bonus opportunities in addition to salary,
