POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is the technical lead on ingestion of content intothe library's digital repositories, the co-developer of the library's data andassessment dashboards, and the front-line support for ETD related activities.
DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises the 100+ graduate students eachyear in fulfilling the graduation requirement of completing the ElectronicTheses and Dissertations (ETD) filing. Works with the University Registrar,Graduate Council, and designated representatives from each school in assistingstudents, managing submissions, creating and updating documentation, andmanaging records. Ensures compliance with university guidelines, copyright law,and Proquest publishing rules for each dissertation and thesis.
Builds and leads the development of specialized collections with theinstitutional repository (Duquesne Scholarship Collection) in collaborationwith faculty, students, the Spiritans, and other campus and external units.
Develops and provides instructional programs for management of research data asrelated to the institutional repository.
Assists the Head of Systems and Scholarly Communication with maximizing the500,000+ library systems budget including the periodic review and replacementof the ILS and continuous evaluation of other library software products.
In collaboration with the Head of Systems and Scholarly Communication leads thedevelopment of the library analytics data collection and presentation on theGumberg Library Dashboards.
Completes other duties as assigned.
