Full Time, Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist, Interventional Radiology, Emerson Health, Concord, MA

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Technologist, Diagnostic Radiology, the Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, image-guided care. In this position, you will use ionizing radiation to produce detailed images of tissues, organs, bones, and blood vessels, supporting physicians during interventional vascular and radiology (IVR) procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technologist who is passionate about patient care, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is eager to expand their skills in interventional radiology.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging during IVR procedures
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff to support patient care
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
  • Maintain accurate imaging records using PACS and HIS/RIS systems
  • Follow all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards
  • Protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies

What You’ll Bring

Education

  • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited college required, or appropriate military training,
    or graduation from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
  • Prior experience in Interventional Vascular Radiology (IVR) preferred

Licensure & Certification

  • Current registration as R.T.(R)(ARRT) required, or registry-eligible with certification obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Current Radiologic Technologist license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers required

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and patient-focused customer service skills
  • Proficiency with PACS and HIS/RIS systems
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
