Job description

Location: Located just 20 miles outside of the nation s capital. The Washington D.C. metropolitan area offers a great quality of life as it is home to several historic and cultural sites, recreational activities and highly-rated schools.

Opportunity: Full-time Interventional Radiology Opportunity

Full time board-certified interventional radiologists to join our expanding highly qualified physician practice. Provides interventional radiological services for 2 acute care hospitals, a free-standing outpatient center.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic fellowship trained interventional radiologist who is confident with all aspects of general interventional radiology. The candidate will perform IR procedures including joint aspirations, vascular ultrasound excluding venous and carotids, CTA peripherals upper and lower and lumbar punctures and providing specialty consults as requested. Option to read diagnostic for additional compensation. IR call is 13 weeks per year. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who will be interested in building an outpatient practice.

We cover two hospitals and one outpatient center. When on call they are on call for two hospitals. They may get called in after hours, but historically it is about once every three weeks they that are called in. They must take 13 weeks of call per year.

They will do about 8-13 procedures per day at the hospital and 11-13 when working at the OP center. During the day they will have one assignment, either a hospital or OP center. They are not required read diagnostic, but if they do, they are compensated for it.

This is a list of what they need to be comfortable doing:

Coverage of the Service shall include, but not be limited to, patient rounds, performing IR procedures (including joint aspirations, vascular ultrasound excluding venous and carotids, CTA peripherals upper and lower and lumbar punctures) and providing specialty consults as requested


Compensation:
Compensation from $600,000- $700,000.

Base $500,000 includes comp for 13 weeks of call

Incentive comp $64.12 for IR rvus exceeding 5,000 per year. E&M and Consults rvus are paid at $25 per wrvu- no thresholds

Benefits to include health, dental, and vision insurance, STD, LTD, Life Insurance, and matching 403B. CME and professional spending. No partnership track or buy-in.
