Job description

Job Opportunity: Full-Time Interventional Radiologist

We are excited to announce an opening for a highly skilled full-time Interventional Radiologist to become part of our expanding team. Currently, our department comprises three full-time interventional radiologists and one advanced nurse practitioner. Recent growth includes the launch of ambulatory services at our cutting-edge Center for Advanced Medicine & Surgery (CAMS). Additionally, we are in the process of constructing a 10-story expansion, nearly 500,000 square feet, which marks a significant step in our ongoing transformation and will greatly enhance our inpatient capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a comprehensive range of interventional radiology procedures.
  • Engage in complex vascular interventions, including but not limited to:
    • Prostatic Artery Embolization (PAE)
    • Uterine Artery Embolization (UAE)
    • Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE)
    • Yttrium-90 (Y90) treatments
    • Portal Vein Embolization (PVE)
    • Geniculate Artery Embolization
    • Hemorrhoidal Artery Embolization
    • Varicocele Embolization
    • Pulmonary Embolism/Deep Vein Thrombosis (PE/DVT)
    • Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS)
    • Balloon-occluded Retrograde Transvenous Obliteration (BRTO/BATO)
  • Conduct routine procedures such as port placements and venous central lines.
  • Perform non-vascular interventions, including:
    • Thermal ablation (renal, liver, bone)
    • Hepatobiliary and genitourinary interventions
    • Kyphoplasty
    • Various biopsies and drainages.
  • Adhere to a clinical interventional radiology model focused on patient-centered care, ensuring continuity of care through our dedicated IR clinic.
Requirements
  • Full-time employment commitment.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation at our facility.
  • Possession of a valid New York medical license.
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a fellowship in Interventional Radiology or graduation from an accredited IR residency program; Board Eligible/Board Certified status is required.
Working Conditions

This role is exclusively focused on interventional radiology. The on-call schedule is 1:4, providing IR-only coverage with no general or diagnostic call responsibilities. Currently, call coverage is limited to a single hospital.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $425,000 and $500,000. This figure represents a good faith estimate of potential base compensation for a successful candidate at the time of this posting and may be subject to change.
