Job description

*This position is Full Time, Non-exempt Hourly; Starting Range $26.19 to $29.79

The Creative Lead provides vision, direction, and oversight for all creative output within the Communications Department. This role ensures brand consistency, creative excellence, and effective visual storytelling across all platforms while managing design workflows, vendor relationships, and production standards. The Creative Lead directly supervises the Graphic Designer and serves as the primary liaison for outsourced creative and production vendors.

Creative Direction & Brand Oversight

  • Establish and maintain the visual identity and brand standards across all communications
  • Review and approve all creative assets (print, digital, environmental, and promotional)
  • Partner with the Director to translate ministry vision into compelling creative strategies
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and design across all platforms

Design Team Leadership & Development

  • Directly supervise and develop the Graphic Designer
  • Provide clear creative direction, feedback, and coaching
  • Prioritize and assign design projects in partnership with the Project Manager
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence

Vendor & Production Management

  • Oversee all outsourced print, production, and creative vendors
  • Source, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships for quality, cost, and reliability
  • Review proofs and final deliverables to ensure quality standards
  • Manage production timelines in coordination with the Project Manager

Creative Execution

  • Contribute to design work as needed for high-priority or high-visibility projects
  • Develop concepts for campaigns, sermon series, events, and ministry initiatives
  • Support digital and social creative needs as required

Systems, Standards & Asset Management

  • Maintain organized design files, templates, and brand assets
  • Develop scalable systems for creative production and file management
  • Ensure proper handoff of assets for digital, print, and ministry use

Participate in “All-In” events, Prayer Mountain, Spiritual Growth Check List, etc.  Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Creative Arts, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 4–6 years of professional design experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibility
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative direction and execution across multiple mediums
  • Prior experience coordinating with vendors and managing outsourced print jobs
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of print and digital production processes
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
