Job description

WTEN-TV 10, in Albany NY is looking for a full-time creative Videographer/Editor to tell entertaining POSITIVE stories on an hourlong lifestyle show launching this summer.

We are looking for an experienced storyteller with a creative eye and strong editing skills. If you're an experienced news shooter looking to get into more positive projects, we want to see some of your best work!

  • Work closely with Executive Producer/Host, Producer, and Co-host to create daily content for a live lifestyle show
  • Produce live and pre-taped on-location segments and innovative sponsored client segments
  • Shoot and edit daily stories, meeting tight deadlines
  • Pushing the envelope while adhering to brand guidelines
  • Contribute to daily content meetings (and not just wait around being told what to do)
  • Helping ensure this doesn't become a cookie-cutter lifestyle show

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of professional videography & editing
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of lighting, camera, and audio gear
  • Proven experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Be open to feedback from the Executive Producer, Director of Sales, SRVP/GM and clients, while also holding your own and standing by your creative choices.
  • Demo reel is required. No exceptions.
